The Last 8 Months Wrapped Into 1 Post

WOW! So much has happened since my last blog post in November that I'm not really sure where to begin. Let's see.....

In September 2009, we bought a home and began the long and tedious task of remodeling. With help, we tore out and replaced the floors, cabinets, and bathrooms. It turned out absolutely beautiful and we are soo proud of it! We moved in sometime around the end of April or beginnning of May 2010.

In December 2009, Josh surprised me and PROPOSED!! He had been working in Texas and had bought a ring without me knowing. By Christmas, when he came home, he had worked and created a spot in a beautiful antique book to nestle the ring into so I would find it when I opened my presents. Christmas ,however, turned out more interesting than we thought when we got flooded into Gravel Ridge. Grandpa saved the day by driving us out on a tractor and we stayed the next few days at Paul & Gail's where Josh proposed Christmas night!
Needless to say, Josh was having to go back to TX and work so we started planning right away. We both agreed we wanted an outdoor wedding and began looking online until we found the perfect location- Alda's Magnolia Hill in Little Rock! We set our date as 7-10-2010 and the planning began!

Mom and I began looking for a dress in Houston and had soo much fun! One hour and one store later we had found the perfect dress! Maggie Sottero's Victoriana. We ordered it early January and it FINALLY came in May 3rd.

The next few months consisted of wedding planning, house renovations, wedding parties (thank you friends & family) engagement and bridal shoots and of course working.

Finally!! July 10, 2010 rolled around and believe me- by the time it did, we were ready for it to be over with! Our special day turned out perfect! We had perfect weather for both the rehearsal dinner and the wedding and everyone worked so hard to help make everything special. Everything turned out exquisite! After the wedding, we stayed the night at The Empress Bed and Breakfast which is AMAZING and left Monday for a week in New Orleans.

In the end, I have ended up with the perfect little family which I love dearly!

Sophie Lynn

One day we were shopping on Craigslist and found an ad in the Pets section on pet photography. The Photographer had posted that he was adding to his pet portfolio and would come to your house and take pictures of your pet for free... So of course we thought of Sophie!! We brought her to get her hair fixed the day before, picked out some bows and were so excited when we got the pictures back! Below are a few of our favorites =)I love how she has her leg sideways. She's super prissy.
Her christmas bow Pa picked out for her =)

Her annoyed look! She was saying "Sewiously? You guys alweady have tons of pwictures! Pwease let me go play!"

Halfway through the shoot and Sophie is bored....

One of the first pictures taken- when she was still cooperating =)

A Little About Me

I grew up in Tx and moved to Ar in 2005. I have 3 sisters-Tanna, D'Anna, Shanna- and 3 step-brothers-Josh, Justin, Jacob. I love my parents dearly and do not get to see near enough of them. I am dating the best guy ever (Joshua Connor) and we have a little puppy named Sophie who thinks she is human... She has the best little personality and is the center of our attention ALWAYS. =)
